Gear-headed engine lathe with high spindle speed for precision turning. Very rigid machine bed with heavy ribbing; guideways ultrasonic frequency quenched and precision ground. Spindle mounted on high-precision tapered roller and angular contact ball bearings for accurate high-speed operation. 5.5 kW or 7 kW main drive, with metric, inch, diametral and module threading.
